bit ott in places i agree but without the stippling and finger groves added to the grip it really could be something god knows the cost of a piece of woodwork like that?

That's a Don Robinson stock. I kind of prefer a more understated elegance in my woodwork but that said his work is pretty impressive;

correct it is a Don Robinson stock, you have to admit that the heavy striped maple is pretty cool looking, a fair amount of work went in to building something like that i bet.

Yes,go for a Custom Stocks job,they are professionally made.DR sorted out a HW 80 stock for me,to hear him go on about it I thought I was going to get a work of art.When it arrived I was appalled.That was about twenty years ago and a look at his website just confirms my opinion.I've got it somewhere,I'll post some pics later!

Here is a CS700 on my .20

Hey ! Thats what happened to my stock.wondered where it had gone :em2300:

Seriously though mine fell apart.The rose wood snable fell of,the stock cracked and the inletted cheek peice shrunk.

I make my own stocks now.Everyone should try and do it at least once or twice depending on your efforts.

Yes,this one is cracked,the inlays are shrinking and warping.and it would not stand up to much use so it was replaced by something better.
