Hiya,

I'm looking to try and improve the performance of the evolution on my 12ftb .177 rapid, rather than change it for a new silencer (money is tight at the mo but I do have a friendly machine man that owes me a favour or three)

So can some nice person point me in the direction of any mods that I can get done that do improve the evo's performance ???

thanks in advance

I made an evo and a half about ten years ago

Made the bobbin out of ali, which is held in suspension between the two springs that absorb energy (noise) during firing, way quieter than standard.

sorry dave they cant be made much better.although uk niel can mod them.(i have had on done) they are not much better and i think you would be disappointed in the result.the best thing to do.is to remove it and fit an hw silencer.the quietness will make your eyes pop out.yes they are that good.but it's gonna cost ya.around £40 for a silencer and £15 to £20 for the adaptor to fit it to the barrel, thats if it's not 1/2 unf cut.
but you could always buy second hand they do come up for sale now and again.this is the best way to go.the evo just cant be made as good as the hw silencer.why theoben dont 1/2 unf all new guns and fit a hw silencer i really dont know.it must work out cheaper and there would be no more of these silencer questions.

p.s if you want to make your gun sound like it has no bottle on.get a nutshot silencer.i dont know which would be the easyist though.getting nick to make you one, or platting p**s.on second thoughts platting p**s i should think. :em2300:
