Ive just got a 24" .25 barrel blank from Chambers for £98 plus postage but you have the machining and bluing on top which will probably cost about another £50.

Hope u get the kit. I look at 25 for lads that make up for hitting things not spot on. And its a bit harder to get in the ton up club. Al

Personaly i would not go down the T Robb route better off getting a chambers blank and getting someone to do the work on it for you.

no one replyed to my first posting on this site. my story goes as follows. years ago i bought a new theoben rapid 7 fac with a .25 pellet size. recently i had it changed to .22 pellet size. the gun shop gave me my old barrel back, and the mag and pellet probe. i was not expecting the old barrel back. i put the barrel on ebay for sale. i stated that it was off a fac airgun. ebay listed it ok, then reported me to the police. the police rang me up, and collected it the next day to be destroyed. they told me the gun shop should not of given it back to me. i lost £150 giving my barrel to plod. im not happy. i see people on this site selling and talking about buying barrels of different lengths. was plod in the right taking my barrel off me? they did say i could apply to keep it and pay £26. but whats the point. they changed my licence to a .22. so i could not put the .25 barrel back on. we live in a crazy world.

You are allowed to own what ever barrel you want, but if your ticket says .22 then that is what caliber barrel needs to be in the action that is registered as a firearm.

You are not supposed to sell barrels on the bay. You should never have said it was off of a firearm as the barrel in itself is nothing.

Assuming it doesn't have a serial number on it though. My S10's serial number is on the barrel and its that what is registered on my FAC. The action has no serial markings that I know of. In theory I could have the barrel destroyed and put another .22 barrel on and the guts changed and back to 12ft Ibs I think???

The rapid is different though, the serial number is on the receiver hence the barrel is simply a metal tube.

I could be very wrong but after a chat one day with John Bowkett and the discussion of a barrel change he said he'd get the barrel destroyed as it was the serial numbered part of the firearm.

for what its worth, i wish i had bought a .22 years ago instead of a .25. i bought a new rapid mk2 fac. my gun shop said dont buy the .25 by the .22 instead. i went for the .25, and they ordered it from theoben. took it home and found the bottle o ring was being ripped by a sharp peice of metal, and the gun was not accurate. had to send it back at my expence. not happy as gun cost £850. over time had 5 sets of sites on gun. always the same problem. shoot at target, goes left. ajust sites. then shoots to much to the right. gun shop turned power down from 49 ftlbs to 34ftlbs. still the same. wrote to theoben. no reply. emailed them. no reply. contacted ben taylor. he was very helpful. offered to change barrel for about £200. that was years ago. never had it done by him. in the end i rang theoben. spoke to a girl who should go and work for tesco and ask for a pay cut. would not sell me a barrel for my gun.

sorry ran out of space. i emailed theoben. my reply from them was about 15 words long and full of spelling mistakes. even simple words spelt wrong. not saying my spelling is brill, but not good service from a bussines. anyway my gun was a beast when it found its target. it was the same problem even when set up and used by different shooters. in the end my barrel change cost me £310. was told about £200 till the time to pay came. not wishing to ofend anyone on this site, but i dont like theoben as a company. ill manered and very unhelpful. i think thats the end of my moan. :?

At this point I'm not gonna make ANY attempt to hold back the impending tidal wave of replies from other lads about Miss Frosty Knickers :em2300: it'd be a challenge but not one I'd be up too lol

I agree depending on who you speak to at Theoben the CS is pants! Part of the reason I went direct through Ben Taylor.......Theoben even messed him about!!! :em19:
