I just came across this smokin deal on a Simmons White Tail Classic 6.5-20X50

was wanting a small scope for my little winter rabbit gun but at this price I dont think
I can turn it down. No experience with this model but have heard so many good reviews
on the simmons 6.5-20X44 mag scopes.

I am going ahead with this purchase and will let u no wot i think after i get it. If I wasn't hurtin for money I'd get a couple at $69 or 44 GBP dont see how could be a bad deal.. 1151 o these in stock.

Hi
I use one on a rapid and I am happy. The only negative is lack of multi aim points but if you can live without them its good. The glass I cant fault.
At that price I would say you would be hard pressed to find that quality at that price elsewhere.

i have used simmons for years with only a few exceptions, and i am saving for a couple of prohunter 44 mag mildots. £188 over here I have one now but it's truplex ret. Nice scope you wont go far wrong for that money. Theyr'e not as good as the old philipines models but still a cracking scope.

Thanks for you replies mates, I will be fine on this scope with the truplex I believe.

The rabbit gun will likely just be 18 to 40-45yd max so with a 40yd zero I feel comfortable
without a mildot retical. Gun will be used in the garden this winter where the longest possible
distance available is 47yd..

If It had a MD ret I'd get one at that price. My rapid came with a simmons allready on and I'm suprised at the quality of the optics for such a small price tag. It Is a philipine model though..

will mount it on something ??? objective to big to go on either of me shrouded guns, not sure wot to put it on? maybe this weekend will mount to something and give a wee review..

cheers for that Tony, I may end up with cheaper scopes on whichever 3 guns I decide to keep, likely a pair of stevenb rapids and one CDT wolf.

Looks good to me. I might "bite the bullet" and get one. What size tube has it got?

1" I've had one of these for 15years, fitted a BDC so don't really need a mill dot, brilliant value, quality optics.

I've recently bought a Secondhand MFR in .177, It had an AeTec 3.8-12x44AO already mounted on it. I took it off and replaced it with an MTC Viper.

A few days later I put the Aetec back on. Its far too good to be sat in the cupboard. :) I can't fault the clarity and quality of the optics.

I've got used to mildot but I'm sure the Truplex Ret. will be just fine at airgun hunting ranges :)

Rick

You won't go far wrong with Philipeano Simmons.
Odd thing is I've also had two Simonds PrairieMasters, made in China.
Just the same as a WTC, well near enough & mildot, great scopes but I traded them in for some Vipers.
I regret it now & wish I still had the PM's.
I use a WTC on my HMR, I'm not getting rid of that, once bitten, twice shy.

i have used the the 3.5-10x50 on a few of my guns and they are very good. i have a 3.5-10x40 on the webley. the only thing is i have found is you have to manually change px to focus down to air gun range ,but its easy to do once warmed with a hair dryer. the 6.5-20 x50 is a fanstastic scope and i'm looking out for a second to replace the night eater i'm using.

Hello m8

i have a wtc 3.5-10x50 - really nice sight lovely finish, clear as a bell and cmpact for a 50mm objective. i also use a aetec 6-20x50. good for rangefinding and, again, is a very well made sight. both are truplex reticles.
